Sightseeing

MEIS

This is very pleasant day trip to a tiny Dodecanese island with the population of around 450 people. The island sits just opposite the harbour of Kas and Meis Kastellorizo is the closest Greek island to Turkey.

Meet at 9.30am at Kas harbour, not forgetting your passport. The boat will sail over to the island where you can spend whole your day in Meis island and experience a taste of Greek culture.

Relax in the sun on the beach or an easy stroll around the Island.

The harbour area in Meis is charming with warren of alleys and houses behind the pretty waterside shops and restaurants.  There is also a pickup from Kalkan.

KAS

A picturesque fishing town, great for lunch out and to see the sight of ancient Antiphellos, with still-visible ruins including an amphitheatre.

Approximately 20 minutes from Kalkan along the stunning Lycian Mediterranean coastal road, is this administrative centre for Kalkan and the jumping off point for the ferry to Meis, a charming Greek Island just a short boat journey away.

KEKOVA ISLAND

Kevova Island reaches out to the historical sunken city, Simena and is home to two beautiful villages.

The ruins are along the northern shore of Kekova, partly submerged 6m below the sea and referred to as the Batık Şehir (Sunken City). The ruins are the result of a series of severe earthquakes in the 2nd century AD; most of what you can still see is a residential part of the ancient site of Simena. Foundations of buildings, staircases, moorings and smashed amphorae are visible. It is forbidden to anchor or swim around or near the sunken city, as well as dive.
